SHIPPING INFORMATION

The price quoted on the website includes professional packaging and fully insured and express tracked delivery, wherever you are in the world. There are no hidden charges; the price you see is what we shall charge you.

In exceptional circumstances we reserve the right to charge for delivery. Any exception will be clearly stated within the description for that object.

Sometimes, a courier service will ask us to provide a contact telephone number for the recipient and, consequently, we may ask you to provide one.

The customer will be solely responsible for any local or regional charges such as additional taxes, duties or import charges which may be levied.

RETURNS POLICY

We want to ensure that our customers are happy and delighted with their purchases.  We want them to purchase from us again in the future.  To that end, we try our very best to photograph the item thoroughly from many different angles and to describe it as accurately and honestly as possible.  All our objects undergo a detailed physical appraisal and are researched extensively.  In twenty years of trading we have never been asked whether a customer could return an item because they were not happy with it!

Please be aware that all the objects we offer for sale are unique.  They are mostly hand crafted and of considerable age. They have existed for many years and will always show some signs of previous use and wear, no matter how small, which form part of their intrinsic individual character and reflect their unique and sometimes enthralling history. 

When buying antiques, it is always advisable to study the photos carefully and to read through the description before making your purchase. Should you have any queries after doing so, we would encourage you to call or email us before purchasing so that we can answer your questions and help clarify that this object is right for you.

Please note that all refunds will be made in UK sterling (GBP) and that we cannot be held responsible for any interest charges made by your credit or debit card company whilst waiting for returns to be refunded.

UK Returns and Cancellation Policy

Cancelling Your Order

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of purchase should you change your mind. You can do this by telephone or by email.  Please call Joseph on 07811 409822 or email him at joseph@josephcohenantiques.com quoting the relevant order number together with your full name and delivery address.

If you have second thoughts and decide to cancel your order before it has been packaged and dispatched, your total payment will be refunded promptly using the same method originally used by you to pay for the purchase.

If your order has been packaged but not dispatched, your original payment, less the costs of professional packaging we have already incurred, will be refunded promptly using the same method originally used by you to pay for the purchase.

If you were to cancel after your order had already been dispatched to you and the goods were in transit, we reserve the right to charge for the packaging and postage costs we have already incurred. We shall advise you of the return address we wish you to use once we have been informed of your wish to cancel which may differ from our registered address. Please do not open the parcel once you receive it; just wrap it up and post the parcel back to us using a ‘signed for’ service with an appropriate level of insurance cover.  You would be responsible for the postage cost of returning the goods to us and the cost of insurance whilst the goods are in transit. We are not able to accept liability for any goods damaged or lost whilst in transit back to us. 

A refund of your original payment will be made once the goods have been received by us in satisfactory condition, less the costs detailed above. Refunds will be made using the same method you originally used to pay for your purchase. Although we would aim to refund all payments promptly, please allow 7 – 14 days for refunds to be processed.

Please Note:

The item or items you wish to return must be complete and not have incurred any damages such as scratches, dents, wear marks or other adverse markings whilst in your care.  Should the item or items have suffered losses or damages, your right to receive a refund would be invalidated.

If you change your mind or are not satisfied once your purchase arrives

If you are not entirely satisfied once you have received your purchase and wish to return it for any reason, please call Joseph on 07811 409822 or email him at joseph@josephcohenantiques.com  within 14 days from the date you receive the goods to advise us of  your intention to return the item/s.  Please quote the relevant order number at that time together with your full name and delivery address.  We shall respond promptly and furnish you with our return postal address which may differ from our registered address.  Goods must be returned in the same condition as they were received and in their original packaging. We would advise you to use a tracked and ‘signed for’ postal service and to insure the items appropriately. We would urge you to request a receipt and keep it safely as we will not be able to accept liability for goods damaged or lost in transit. If the reason for the return is ‘second thoughts’ or a ‘change of heart’, the purchaser will bear the full postage cost of returning the item/s to us.

When we receive the parcel back from you, we shall contact you to say that it has been received. We shall then open the package and examine the object/s. Once we are satisfied that this is the same object/s as we supplied and in the same condition as when we sent it out, we shall refund your payment using the same method you used to make payment. In the event of a problem we shall contact you. Although we aim to refund promptly, please allow 7 – 14 days after you have received notification that we have received the package for your monies to be refunded.

We would ask you to send photographs of the damaged item/s, including close-up shots and photos of any damages to the packaging, if applicable. Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order as we are unable to refund any items reported damaged after this time. It is important that you do not throw away or attempt to fix any damaged items as this would invalidate your claim and we would not be able to issue a refund.  We would also ask that you please retain any damaged packaging, if applicable, until the matter has been resolved as our insurer may wish to examine.

If the goods delivered to you were Incorrect or ‘not as described’

In the unlikely event that the goods you receive are incorrect or not as described please call or email us immediately. Call Joseph on 07811 409822 or email him at joseph@josephcohenantiques.com  We would like you to know that we would try our very hardest to rectify any mistake we have made as soon as possible and at our cost. Should you be asked to return the incorrect goods to us, we would, of course, reimburse you for this cost. Once the goods had been received back from you, and in the same condition as when dispatched, we would offer you an immediate refund should the correct goods no longer be available.
